Over 500 at national conference

NCTC’s 6th national conference drew over 500 participants to Denver, the largest attendance yet. The Denver Post ran a story on keynote speaker Sheila Bair, chairwoman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., urging leniency on adjustable-rate mortgage holders. Other keynote speakers were author David Cay Johnston and Karen Gross, President, Southern Vermont College.

Succeeding with market share

Community Action Project of Tulsa County, Oklahoma,  is at the top when it comes to market penetration of the low-income population. Engaged in split refunds and savings bonds pilots, they are one of the largest programs in the country. Read the full story.

join our Community Services team as EITC Program Coordinator to coordinate the operation of the King County Free Tax Preparation and EITC program.

Consultant

D2D Fund, Inc. is seeking a consultant for a six-month assignment to support expansion of a new "Savings Bond Portal" to 15-20 VITA sites throughout the U.S.  The Portal is an online ordering tool designed and built by D2D and H&R Block to offer U.S. Savings Bonds to low-income tax filers.  For a job description and more information about D2D, please visit www.d2dfund.org.
