ITIN Acceptance Agents can assist immigrants in obtaining ITINs from the IRS. This document describes the new procedures for applying to become an Acceptance Agent. Many free tax preparation sites already assist immigrants to fill out W-7 forms to apply for an ITIN: having an Acceptance Agent on site makes the process much easier for clients.
