The IRS has set a goal to have 80% of all tax returns
filed electronically by the year 2007. Through its VITA (Volunteer Income
Tax Assistance) program, the IRS provides TaxWise software and computers
free to some agencies utilizing volunteers to provide free tax-preparation
services via e-file for EITC eligible clients.
